A group of four local CFS members are taking part in the South Australian strike force team that has headed to NSW to help fight the devastating bush fires. Expertly trained and adequately qualified Lieutenant David Smith and Lauren Wait along with firefighters Mandi Thompson and Tony Octoman flew out last week to assist with the situation engulfing most of NSW. This reflects the fantastic community spirit that Port Lincoln residents have to help people in need regardless of distance.
