The Port Lincoln Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is once again sponsoring the Tunarama Window Display Competition for 2015. Windows dressed in Tunarama theme will be eligible for one of the four main prizes for this year. Best Window Overall, Most Decorative Display, Best Night Display and Best Tunarama Theme.
Judging will take place in the week prior to Tunarama and winners will be announced as part of the Opening Ceremony on Friday 23rd January. It is hoped that as many businesses as possible will get involved. Nomination forms will be available from the PLCC&T or Tunarama website from the end of November, and all those entering will have their business named at the Winners announcement.
In what is a first for Port Lincoln, Tunarama is conducting a competition which will encourage as many home-owners as possible to re-invent their Xmas Lighting displays into Tunarama themed lights displays during the whole of January, and provide a festive atmosphere for the city, in the lead up to Tunarama. It will be known as the Tunarama Festival Lights Competition. Tunarama continues to seek further sponsors to this great community initiative.
There will be some great prizes on offer including a trophy for the overall winner. The idea is to design and showcase something that is distinctly Port Lincoln or Tunarama related. Radio 5CC will keep the community regularly updated on the locations of the displays. Nomination forms with further details will be available from the Tunarama website from the end of November.
