State Budget 2016/17
The tourism industry recently received some pleasing news with the State Budget 2016-17 revealing the two year extension of the $35 million marketing and major events fund.
The package includes:
- $14 million on growing international tourism marketing opportunities.
- $6 million on marketing campaigns to promote Adelaide and regional tourism to the Australian market.
$15 million for the State Government’s bid fund – $5 million to secure conventions and $10 million to secure leisure events.
