Open invite for your business to have a taste of Tasting Australia
South Australian restaurants and food producers are being urged to take part in the 2016 Tasting Australia Associated Events Program.
Tourism Minister Leon Bignell said the State Government was sending an open invitation to
local businesses wanting to take part.
“We are calling on anyone within the food and wine industry to become involved by creating their very own event,” Mr Bignell said.
Last year, there were 85 Associated Events across the state.
“This year we are hoping to offer even more opportunities for guests to enjoy South Australia’s hospitality and to experience our amazing produce,” Mr Bignell said.
“The theme for Tasting Australia 2016 is “landscape” and we are looking for events which reflect how the landscape has shaped the product or experience.
“The Associated Events Program is another example of how diverse Tasting Australia is and it supports the State Government’s key priority of showcasing our premium food and wine grown in our clean environment.”
Tasting Australia’s Creative Director Simon Bryant said he was looking forward to seeing what events are developed.
“I’m excited at the prospect of the quality based on the success of 2014 program,” he said.
“I think we will see some really interesting interpretations of the theme and it will be a fantastic opportunity for producers to launch a new product, or event holders to share new tours or experiences.
“Paul Henry and I will work with applicants to guide them through the process should they need it, to maximise their opportunities, working with the Tasting Australia team to ensure all events are exciting to consumers.”
Tasting Australia will be held from Sunday 1 May to Sunday 8 May 2016.
Registration for the 2016 Tasting Australia Associated Events Program are now open. Visit www.tastingaustralia.com.au for more information.
