Tourist numbers on the EP for 2011/12 were down according to the latest figures from Tourism Research Australia, however spending by those visitors was significantly up which is good news for local business.
Figures show there were nearly 700,000 visitors to the EP in 2011/12 with Port Lincoln being the most popular place in the region to visit. These visitors are made up of holiday makers, people visiting family and friends and people here for business.
